Ti-paca: Caring for your 100% Baby Alpaca Knitwear

To ensure that your Baby Alpaca product is well cared for, please follow these instructions:

Firstly turn your product inside out. This helps to stop the outer surfaces rubbing together

Hand wash at 20 degrees Centigrade with a good quality detergent. Do not use bleach.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water and then gently squeeze out all off the water from the product.

Do NOT TUMBLE DRY.

Dry flat, and when dry, you can steam press with a low temperature iron with a thin damp cloth underneath.

If dry cleaning, do not use trichloroethylene

When storing, we recommend you fold the garment before putting in a drawer, and do not store on a hanger.

A Foot note on Very Modern Washing Machines

are often equipped with a gentle hand wash cycle and you might get the same washing result as physical hand washing, but DO NOT TUMBLE DRY after washing.

We have found that physically hand washing does definitely and consistently give the best long term results when caring for for natural fibre knitwear, and for this reason we recommend that you use the above method to properly care for your sweater.
